Madison Building, Water, and the Marble Lobby Area

The water from the frozen burst sprinkler pipe was clean containing no dirty debris or other contaminants. This newly constructed commercial building was leasing office space and was bright and shiny new. The walls were protected from water-damaging absorption by the marble baseboard trim. Our immediate concern was to extract the standing water to prevent the staining of the grouted marble flooring. We managed to contain the water and prevent its flowing into adjoining offices or the elevator shaft. We set up chemical dehumidifiers to capture the lingering moisture in the air. The management company was very pleased with our speed of service that enabled them to continue securing new tenants even as we sprayed a light deodorizing mist to complete our service.
